I make a lot of shaped cards and in this video I thought I would show you how to make them using ScanNCut, you can do this directly on the machine but I find the screen too small so prefer to make them in Canvas.
If you look at My Projects page above you will see lots of examples I have made over the years.
Hope this video helps, let me know how you get on.
In this weeks video I show how I created some welded word frames using ScanNCut Canvas, these make great simple decorations for the front of a card or for scrapbook pages.
I made this card recently and it was made the same way except before I welded the words to the frame(as shown in the video) I made an “Outset” of the words and welded those to the frame. I then welded another square onto the side of the frame to give me my base card shape and used the original words which I welded together as a mating layer shown here in pink, which I stuck on the front using 3d foam pads.
I’ve made this as a gift for someone, all the appliqué was cut with the ScanNCut all the shapes are my own except the bird which was something I had already and the grass is from the borders in Canvas.
I’ve added two embroidery butterfly’s and free motion quilting.
I love how this has turned out.
