So today I’ve recorded a video showing how I cut a quilt pattern design from the built in patterns on the ScanNCut.
I chose the design and used the SNC to draw my 1/4 inch seam allowance and then went on to cut the fabric pieces.
I used spray starch to stabilise the fabric the video will be posted in a couple of weeks but I thought I would show the finished project once I had turned the block into a cushion cover. I only show how to choose and draw the seam allowance and cut the pieces in the video and as I am not really a quilter I had to try and work out how they all went together, so don’t be to hard on me with my finished design.

Ive made two more stockings, one is red and more traditional and the other is made with cotton lace. I am going to be taking orders for these if anyone is intesested.
They will probably also be available through my Creative Store or Ebay shops.

Ive never made one of these before, so last night I decided to have a try my first one was ok but I made a couple of mistakes. So learning from those I made this one this morning and I love this one. #gallery-2097-1 { margin: auto; } #gallery-2097-1 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-2097-1 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-2097-1 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Ive used hessian which I have never sewn with before it was ok but it sheds a lots of fibres. Ive quilted the cuff and add a lace ribbon and pom poms.
This is the one I wasn’t as happy with, its probably because I don’t like the traditional reds etc used in most christmas fabrics. I also did some machine embroidery on this one too.
