This is why I love my ScanNCut, I found this pattern on Pinterest, you can download it from this website Here
I traced the design in Inkscape and converted it into a ScanNCut file using Canvas.
I resized it to just under 3 inches and cut 12 in white linen card from the Papermill Online and slotted them all together.
I saw something similar to the white part of this card on the internet I think it was a spellbinders die shape. Anyway I decided I would make my own in Inkscape, so I drew the shape and used the create tiled clone tools with rotate as I have shown in a video recently and created my own design.
I duplicated the design and used the path dynamic offset to create the outside of the shape bigger and when I put the two together I got this cut shape that has lift up sections.
I also made the scollop circle in Inkscape again I’ve shown how to do this In a video but it’s basically using the clone with rotate options again.
I’ve used rhinestone in the past with my Pazzles software so have lots of stones and transfer sheets laying around.
I thought I would have a go at making some designs in Inkscape and converting them in Canvas for the ScanNCut.
I’ve only tried two so far but it worked. I used Pazzles rubber stamp material as my cutting medium, I cut the design with the ScanNCut and then stuck it onto chipboard to make a template.
All I had to do then was pour my rhinestones onto my template and brush them into the holes it worked a treat.
I used a clear transfer sheet to rub over the template to pick up the stones and they are now ready to iron onto a project.
I could only find one of my daughters old black tshirts so I used that to iron the butterfly design onto.
Here is a card I made with the flower.
