Hi everyone, this is a design I wanted to make to put on a sweatshirt for me.
The pumpkins are from creative fabrica and I added two different fonts to the design in embrilliance essentials.
Ive been researching machines for more than a year and originally thought I wanted a Brother 6 needle machine but ive been keeping a note of everything Ive stitched and the reality is I dont need a 6 needle machine and they are so expensive, so then I heard about this new machine from Brother the PR1X, its the same as a 6 needle machine but with 1 needle, the technology and some of the features are the same, so that is what I settled on.
I had planned to treat myself to this machine next year, but the opportunity came to me recently to buy a machine that had 1 hour of run time, with everything still in the box at a much reduced price, so I had to go for it.
Ive loved having my Brother V5LE especially because of the large hoop size of 8x12" it is a great machine but I wanted the ability to be able to embroider on bags, tshirts, sweatshirts and small items easier so I knew I needed a machine with a free arm.
The PR1X offers me all I wanted, the biggest hoop is still 8x12" and there are lots of other sizes available.
I thought about investing in the magnetic mighty hoops, which are a considered purchase but Ive also seen the durkee ez frames, which are better value and offer sizes smaller than the mighty hoops. I may ask for these for Christmas but for now I am using the the hoops that come with the PR1X and this is my first stitch out using both the in the box hoop on the PR1X. It was so much easier with the free arm and it stitched out beautifuuly.
I will be selling my V5LE as I dont need two machines and I want to recoup some of the cost of the new machine, but all the videos for that machine will stay on my youtube channel, as I know they are still watched.
